virus detected.

let's start from the beginning...
this morning i had possibly one of two of the most scariest vulnerable moments of my life.
i had just gotten up with stella and was about to nurse her, when she did a horrible gag and started choking. then she didn't stop. or breath. i waited just one half of a second for her to come out of it before i went running for my phone. i could feel her start to go limp. in total panic mode looking for my phone i was pounding on her back, in heimlich fashion. she started breathing regularly again thank you god.
queue the shaking and sobbing from me.
i called her pediatrician and they thought it best she be seen but we couldn't get her there till 4:50pm-they were thinking maybe it was reflux.
while we waited, she spiked a fever of 101.2 and we started to notice some things:
she was having a hard time swallowing
she was grunting and gasping
she was drooling, a lot!
she seemed to be in a lot of discomfort.

so, the doctor after just a few moments was able to determine that she has a virus throat infection. full on blisters covering the inside of her throat. this is where your heart falls, like mine did. can you believe my tiny eleven week old baby is going through such a thing!
all we can do for her is tylenol every four hours (which i hate the idea of so much!) and we must keep her in an upright position at all times to avoid her choking again. this means it's swing city for that babe tonight.
her doctor says we're at the worst of it right now and it should clear up in about two days. we need to watch her temp, which already spiked again and make sure it doesn't last pass then.
amazingly she is still smiley and happy for the most part. what a champ!

so, stella could use your good vibes for a quick recovery and a safe night.
and thanks for listening to my scary rant.
good night :)
we have zoe's kindergarten graduation tomorrow!

Oh sweet baby girl! How sad =( It is not fun when they are sick, ever, but especially when they are that little!! I am sending a ((big hug)) your way because I can imagine just how terrifying that was for both of you! Prayers for a fast recovery & some rest tonight.

How scary!!!! I'm glad she's okay though (well, at least on the mend). Sending tons of good vibes her way, I hate that babies get sick when they are still so tiny. :(

How scary! Poor sick baby girl! Lots of good vibes and prayers coming your way for sure! I am glad she is okay. I can only imagine how you must have felt. My youngest daughter liked to hold her breath when she got really upset and would scream and hold her breath and then pass out. The first time she did it she turned blue and then fell right over and I flipped out! So having a helpless sick baby I am sure is so much worse. May she have a speedy recovery.
