let's get real, with some of your favorite mamas! v.2

let’s get real; sometime the day sucks, our kids are extra loud, and you are just begging God to send you an extra pair of arms. i try to be as real as possible here on hi, baby-cause come on life isn’t always sparkles and i know mine or your baby isn’t pooping rainbows. i love my family to the moon and back but i know how i would answer all these questions and they might not be pretty answers, but hey that’s life. you can bet that every second is worth it though and i will be right back up at it tomorrow.
i want to introduce you to one of my favorite bloggers in blog land, jess from tart. i am probably a little partial to her because she has a rowan too, but it helps that her family is absolutly adorable, she is stunning, and i may or may not be mildly jealous of where they live...hawaii! wanna get real with jess?

What is the condition of your house right this second?
Laundry piles, everywhere.
What is something that your nugget(s) do that drive you absolutely crazy?
She's suddenly decided to stay up until at least 10:30 every night, so those 2 hours that were "just for me and my husband" after she went to sleep are now spent chasing after her and then it's time for us to hit the hay as well.
If you suddenly were granted two uninterrupted laundry and dishwasher free hours daily what would you do?
Take a long bubble bath with a good magazine followed by a little songwriting.
Who is number one on your elevator list? Who you can…well, grope without consequence if ever caught in an elevator with said person?
I'm pretty hot for David Beckham right now.
What is your secret weapon to survive a not great day?
COFFEE or to go on a walk around the neighborhood.
Ok, now the most important question; at the end of the day when the house is finally quite how do you unwind?
I pour myself a rum & coke and catch up on instant Netflix shows with my husband.
nothing gets more real than this stay at home mama from irocksowhat. i have been following her since the dawn of time and couldn't imagine stopping anytime soon; she tells it how it is, has great clean eating recipes and tips, and how can you forget her adorable little wyatt that is changing into a full blown toddler as we speak.

Let me just show you a picture.
What is something that your nugget(s) do that drive you absolutely crazy?
Playing in the trash can! Ugh! I tell him no over and over and he doesn't listen. Oh, and I hate that he climbs on the toilet and then from there climbs onto the sink to play in the water. I wrestle with him to get down everyday while I'm doing my hair and make up.

Who is number one on your elevator list? Who you can…well, grope  gripe to without consequence if ever caught in an elevator with said person?
Probably my sister. She hears it all. What is your secret weapon to survive a not great day? Coffee with creamer. It makes everything better. :)
Ok, now the most important question; at the end of the day when the house is finally quite how do you unwind?
I'm really loving Pinterest right now... oh, and of course Twitter is always fun. But sometimes I just like to edit photos. Yeah, I'm lame.
i thought i lived in the crazy house with three little ones under my belt, that was until i met rachael via twitter and then fell in love with her blog letters to ames; while she grew her adorable twin girls bringing their numbers up to four and five. whoa! this girl has tons of wisdom and parenting hours under her belt, so i am totally excited about what she has to lay out on the table.

The living areas are always straight. I rarely leave a room without picking up, and the kids must leave their bedrooms in neat condition. Our bedroom is usually a bit messy - a pile of clean laundry on a chair, or toys strewn about. Oh, and the hubs usually does the dishes in the morning. Today, he had all five kids while I worked. So chances are, there are dishes in my sink right now.
What is something that your nugget(s) do that drive you absolutely crazy?
Hmm, how to narrow down five kids to one annoyance... Okay, here's one. The eldest doesn't like playing outside. He acts super bored and mopes on the front porch when we send them out to play.
If you suddenly were granted two uninterrupted laundry and dishwasher free hours daily what would you do? Well the first day, I'd paint my nails and read a magazine cover-to-cover. The following day, I'd start tackling the to-do list that I keep on my phone... the one for when I get "free time."
Who is number one on your elevator list? Who you can…well, grope without consequence if ever caught in an elevator with said person?
Oh dear! I honestly don't have anyone! That's kinda sad. I need a celebrity crush. Thankfully, my husband is ridiculously sexy.
What is your secret weapon to survive a not great day?
Iced coffee. That, and telling my husband that I'm having a bad day. That way, there's more grace around the house. And he'll usually do something super thoughtful or super silly to snap me out of it.
Ok, now the most important question; at the end of the day when the house is finally quite how do you unwind?
Lately, I've been taking a hot shower and going to bed early. The day will come when the twins sleep through the night, and I have more energy. But for now, hopping into bed around 10pm makes for a pretty darn good night!
