let's get real, with some of your favorite mamas! v.3

let’s get real; sometime the day sucks, our kids are extra loud, and you are just begging God to send you an extra pair of arms. i try to be as real as possible here on hi, baby-cause come on life isn't always sparkles and i know mine or your baby isn’t pooping rainbows. i love my family to the moon and back but i know how i would answer all these questions and they might not be pretty answers, but hey that’s life. you can bet that every second is worth it though and i will be right back up at it tomorrow.
for the next few plus weeks i am going to introduce you to some of my favorite blogging mamas (three at a time) and their dirty little mama secrets. so are you ready to get real?
this is lauren from me & mine, and i loooove her. i finally got to meet her in real life and laugh with her over a table of good food while we all oogled at her adorable little pregnant belly. she is already mommy to the cutest little monster ever and i suggest you check her out!
what is the condition of your house right this second?
Honestly, a disaster! I have days worth of dishes piling up and have more clothes on the floor of my bedroom than on hangers and the trash in my bathroom is overflowing. I normally do a quick pick up of the house once little man is in bed but have been lazy the last few days and at least my front room is clean!
what is something that your nugget(s) do that drive you absolutely crazy?
Climb on me constantly! Oh my heck I must have jungle gym stamped on my forehead. I can be a cuddly person but this is a whole new level of annoying. Little bony elbows and knees digging into all of the soft spots on my body and not to mention all over my growing baby bump. I cant sit down for 2 seconds without little man all up in my business. Its a good thing hes cute.
if you suddenly were granted two uninterrupted laundry and dishwasher free hours daily what would you do?
I'd like to think that I would do something wonderful like make a quilt or plant flowers. But I would probably take a nap, you can never have too much sleep and I love my sleep.
who is number one on your elevator list? who you can…well, grope without consequence if ever caught in an elevator with said person?
Oooh ooh ooh. Taye Diggs hands down or known as Dr Sam Bennett on private practice, do you think he likes vanilla? Yummy.
what is your secret weapon to survive a not great day?
On a bad day I try to go to target and do some retail therapy or to the local bagel shop where I can eat in peace and the dude plays with the train set and reads books. BUT if its a really really bad day then MOVIES for sure. I have no problem letting the tv babysit my kid for a day every now and then.
ok, now the most important question; at the end of the day when the house is finally quite how do you unwind?
I finish pretty much everyday with a bowl of cold cereal and some facebook chatting with friends. I will also hang out on twitter and read blogs or work on my own posts til I can barely keep my eyes open and I drag my butt to bed.
ok, so i may have totally stumbled upon andrea by accident, then found out we went to the same church, then begged her to join our bloggers for babies group, then fell love at first sight with her and her adorable boys the first time we met. she is great and has tons of style, a must read!
blog. twitter.
what is the condition of your house right this second?
My main "work" spaces (i.e.. my kitchen and bathrooms) are clean but there are piles of toys everywhere else. It's just our reality right now and I am not going to stress over it. I figure the matchbox traffic jam over there and Imaginext pile up over here tell all who enter that life happens in this house.

what is something that your nugget(s) do that drive you absolutely crazy?
Play rough!  My female mind cannot fathom how it could be entertaining to my two boys to wail on each other day in and day out.  It seems like no matter what I do they won't leave each other alone!  For instance, I will separate them and little brother will go hunting for big brother.  Glutton for punishment, I tell you.  Don't even get me started on when they decide that their sweet little girly friends need to play that way, too.  Ugh.
if you suddenly were granted two uninterrupted laundry and dishwasher free hours daily what would you do?
Sounds way boring - but I would have a good hard workout and a long shower.  Ridiculous as it seems, doing both of these things in one chunk of time on a regular basis would be a total luxury.
who is number one on your elevator list? who you can…well, grope without consequence if ever caught in an elevator with said person?
Ryan Reynolds.  Yep.
what is your secret weapon to survive a not great day?
I will load the kids up in the car (hello, no hanging on Mama when you're strapped into that car seat!) roll down the windows and turn up the tunes.  Usually all it takes is a trip through the Starbucks drive through for a iced green tea and apple juice x 2 to adjust our 'tudes in a much more positive way.
ok, now the most important question; at the end of the day when the house is finally quite how do you unwind?
Some tea (or wine if I am feelin' wild). Some Husband. Some trashy TV.  That's my reset button.
tessa and i met via twitter when we discovered that we went to the same church, we were even more excited when we learned that stella and her lennox were only eleven days apart and immediatly got to work on them being the best of buds. tessa is a gorgeous mama who has some good tips, check out what she has to say!
what is the condition of your house right this second?
I pick up toys for a living, so the floors are clean... but there are dishes in the sink, laundry in the washer & a week of mail on the kitchen table!
what is something that your nugget(s) do that drive you absolutely crazy?
Lennox is fascinated by kitty litter. If we don't vaccuum every other day, she searches the carpet for each little morsel & often tries to taste it. So irritating!
if you suddenly were granted two uninterrupted laundry and dishwasher free hours daily what would you do?
I'd start Lennox's baby scrapbook. Everything has been in a pile for 15 months... just waiting for me to begin.
who is number one on your elevator list? who you can…well, grope without consequence if ever caught in an elevator with said person?
Adrian Grenier. Um, hottie.
what is your secret weapon to survive a not great day?
Don't cook dinner. I hate cooking & after a long day, take-out food is a yummy reward.
ok, now the most important question; at the end of the day when the house is finally quite how do you unwind?
Lately, the hubs & I have been talking (Crazy, right?!) We picked a book to mutually read & have been having great convos about it. But mindless tv & internet is always good too :)

I love your insight. I like ending the day with a bowl of cereal too. Something about it reminds me of being a kid.
