Meet Our Sponsers: Love, Joleen

I am so excited to kick off a new series this week! My best kept secret has been my amazing sponsors and it is high time I share them with the world!

Joleen of Love, Joleen is up first! She is one of those internet friends that lives on the other side of the planet and makes me cry real tears that we might never meet in person (ok, we probably will because she and Stella's Godparent live in close proximity!). She just gets me and our little boys are so close in age - they are guaranteed to be bff's for life.

Joleen is a very successful and talented photographer in the Atlanta area and recently had the opportunity to work with some of my favorite online businesses such as House of Mia and Sophie and Lili. You go girl!

I sent Joleen a set of, what I thought were, fun questions to pick her brain a little and get to know her a better. See what she had to say...
1. Tell us two jokes. Come on, really make us laugh!

Everything makes me laugh but here are two that made me chuckle when I was looking for a couple to share:

Joke #1 "A newlywed couple moves into their new house. One day the husband comes home from work and his wife says, "Honey, you know, in the upstairs bathroom one of the pipes is leaking, could you fix it?" The husband says, "What do I look like, Mr. Plumber?" A few days go by, and he comes home from work and his wife says, "Honey, the car won't start. I think it needs a new battery. Could you change it for me?" He says: "What do I look like, Mr. Goodwrench?" Another few days go by, and it's raining pretty hard. The wife finds a leak in the roof. She says, "Honey, there's a leak on the roof! Can you please fix it?" He says, "What do I look like, Bob Vila?" The next day the husband comes home, and the roof is fixed. So is the plumbing. So is the car. He asks his wife what happened. "Oh, I had a handyman come in and fix them," she says. "Great! How much is that going to cost me?" he snarls. Wife says: "Nothing. He said he'd do it for free if I either baked him a cake or slept with him." "Uh, well, what kind of cake did you make?" asks the husband. "What do I look like," she says, "Betty Crocker?""

Joke #2 "I used to be addicted to soap. I’m clean now.…"

2. Name three of your favorite Etsy shops.

One has to be one you're pretty sure not a lot of us know about. Ok, I tried to pick three that you might not know about: AngeliqueInk (great quality, beautifully designed return address stamps) || JulieAnnArt (hilarious/ironic office supplies and greeting cards) || ParloCosmetics (my new favorite makeup).

3. If you have $500 to spend at Target right now, what would make it into your cart?

$500 to spend at Target would be awesome!! I would spend $250 on the boring stuff - groceries, diapers, etc. I'd spend the other half on completely random items like toys and books for Benjamin, clothing, accessories, and makeup for me!

4. Describe your perfect weekend.

My perfect weekend these days consists of zero plans, but a spontaneous adventure with my family. We love exploring Atlanta together!

5. What is your favorite thing about being a mama? On the flip-side, what part were you not expecting to be more difficult?

My favorite thing about being a mama to an almost toddler is that his love for me is still absolutely unconditional. I am sometimes overwhelmed by how obvious his love and need for me is. I love to cuddle and kiss him and that he's still so young he doesn't push me away.

There are definitely challenges I wasn't expecting to being a mama. You know in your head that being a parent is a huge commitment, but you really have no idea how all encompassing it is until you're in it. I can't even pee in peace! If I do manage to make it into the restroom alone, then more often than not, a little bitty hand often enters from underneath the door. HA!

6. What is your Starbucks order?

I like coffee with my chocolate so for me it's always a choice between a Peppermint Mocha Frap or a Double Chocolaty Chip Frap.

7. Favorite movie line? Let's see if we can guess what it is from!

"There's no crying in baseball!"

8. Describe yourself in one word.

It used to be "Creative" but now it's "Busy".

I can so relate to #8! I think that accurately describes any person with more then zero kids, ha!

I can't wait to share more of my wonderful sponsors with you! Stay tuned.
