WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY? GIVEAWAY!

We are woodland creature obsessed in this house and it just so happens that the fox is super on trend these days - Clothes, shoes, art, and annoying songs. Tim has always talked about owning a fox for a pet and Robin was almost Robin Fox before I decided that's too many animals for one name. We love foxes.

This all being said, I can't wait to tell you about two of my favorite shops out there! Dj's Handsies and Funky Baby Hats.

I've been following Dannett and Dj 's handsies since her start on Instagram selling her amazing crochet pieces. Gorgeous well crafted animal faces paired with soft vintage fabric, there really is nothing else like it out there. I was a mess of emotions when I pulled Stella's fox dress out of the mailer - It was the type of tiny dress that she'll pass onto her kids and them to theirs and so on. It does stop there though, she creates dresses with all sorts of animals, collars, rugs, and more. I can't recommend her online shop enough!

Funky Baby Hats both on Etsy and an online shop are quickly becoming cold weather favorites of ours. Quality and local(!!!) knit products for everyone in your family. Photographers listen up! Cara carries some of the most amazing props around! Although the fox cowl was made for Stella it's kinda been one size fits all around here. That's right, I wore it too and stayed toasty warm all day. Funky Baby Hats makes all of the hats your little ones need this season - Soft bunny hats for Easter, Ninja Turtle hats for the hero in your life, the ever popular sock monkey hatnewborn cocoons, and so so much more! Check out Funky Baby Hats on Etsy too.

I have teamed up with these two shops to bring you a fun giveaway. One person will win both of these gorgeous hand-made pieces to have for their own. Are you as excited as me? The giveaway will run for two weeks until Friday March 14, 2014 at Midnight PST. Entering is always easy, just follow the Rafflecopter prompts below. Good luck and have fun!

BLOOMING ONION BREAD

I'm always on the hunt for a side that is delicious and perfect for bringing along to dinner get togethers. My new obsession? Blooming onion bread! Do you know what I love about it? The combinations are endless - The original recipe I found used plain sourdough but I love to mix it up with whatever is fresh and warm when I hit up the bakery section of the grocery store. Last time I made it rosemary and sea salt made the cut. I can't wait for you to try it!

1 whole unsliced loaf bread
12-16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese sliced thin into small piece. Heck, use shredded!
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup finely diced green onion

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through the bottom crust. This can be a little tricky going the second way but the bread is very forgiving.
Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Insert cheese slices between cuts. Combine butter, onion, and poppy seeds. Drizzle over bread. Wrap in foil; place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Unwrap the bread and bake 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted.

VALENTINE'S DAY WITH KIWI CRATE!

It is no secret that we love Kiwi Crate! A one time or monthly subscription for craft lovers that always manages to show up right when we are running out of inside things to keep us busy! I personally love it because the crafts are easily kid directed and almost always come with everything you need from start to master piece.

With Valentine's Day just right around the corner, Kiwi Crate asked if they could send the girls their February kit. When it arrived the girls they were ecstatic! I took a quick peek at the information card and knew that it would involve little guidance from me and be a low mess project - a win win for everyone! The theme was "my pop-up cards" and came with more then enough supplies for the girls to make a card for all of their friends. There were even a couple of larger blank cards to create their own design for their teachers maybe.

I let Stella go to town with the provided glue stick, pre-sticky goggly eyes and heart. Easy directions and indicators helped her know just where to put each embellishment. She even got down the folding part super quick. Now the hard part, who gets what card! It was all smiles and giggles while she worked through each card and then clean up was a breeze - "Is it Valentine's Day yet?"

Through today the 7th, Kiwi Crate is offering free shipping on orders over $25. Take a peek around and shop for crates, party favors, art supplies, gift cards and more. Just use the code SHIP25 at check out.
